The ZVAC is a technical committee\r\nin charge of carrying out vulnerability and needs assessments (i.e.,\r\ndisaster-related assessments that inform disaster preparedness,\r\nprevention, mitigation, response, and recovery), and its membership\r\nis drawn from different institutions, including government ministries\r\nand departments, the UN system, NGOs (local and international), and\r\nthe private sector. To understand the impact of shocks (i.e., disasters/\r\nhazards) experienced during the 2024/2025 rainy season, an In-depth\r\nVulnerability and Needs Assessment (IDVNA) was conducted. The assessment made it easier to\r\nunderstand how the different communities were affected by the shocks they experienced.
